Thanks to the beta of Android 10 Q, the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL enjoy a dark mode. Here's how to activate it.
Dark mode enabled on the Google Pixel 3 XL
Take out the trumpets and the drums! The first beta of Android Q is finally available on all Google Pixel. Among the novelties to remember, we obviously can not miss the long-awaited dark theme.
Here is a little tutorial to learn how to activate the dark theme on a Google Pixel 3 or a Google Pixel 3 XL.
How to activate the dark theme on Android 10 Q?
To activate the dark theme, here is the procedure to follow:
Go to the "Battery" tab from the settings
Tap "Battery Saver"
Click on "Activate now"
The interface goes all in black! This option is handy to preserve our little sensitive eyes white interfaces a little too aggressive sometimes. This will combine well with the night mode of Facebook Messenger for example or with all other applications – including many of Google – having adopted a dark theme.
Note, however, the preventive message displayed by the interface when activating the dark mode on the Google Pixel 3: "the battery saver disables certain features of the device and limits applications."
At your peril !
