Google Camera: a dark theme, a measurement function and many more news coming soon


The application of the camera of Android may well see many new developments in the coming months to believe some snippets of code on the current version. In the program, a dark theme for the parameters, an integrated measurement function, Time Lapse, an improved panorama mode and more.
The Google Measure app
Version 6.2 of the Google Camera application, deployed this weekend, holds many secrets to believe 9to5Google. By searching through the code of this update, the specialized site has discovered a number of references to new and exciting features.
New modes
The first novelty concerns the "switch to measurement mode", reminding the Google Measure app already available on the Google Play Store. It measures the distance between two points using augmented reality. This is a feature that could appear, according to 9to5Google, in the "More" tab of the camera.
The second new mode is called "Cheetah" internally and would correspond to a Time Lapse. It allows "to record videos at higher speed".
Improvements
Small improvements are also noted on the side of the interface of the application. The dark theme of Android Pie is now respected by the camera app. Its entire settings screen is now displayed in black and shades of gray.
On the panorama side, the audio recording button is centered to make it more accessible and the choice of HDR mode now includes the "HDR +" and "HDR + Enhanced" options. Small visual improvements have also been made, such as the persistence of the preview when changing the shooting mode and the display of a flash on the bright screen of the flash screen (for selfies).
