Autonomy, speed and price: the Harley-Davidson LiveWire makes the show at CES 2019.
After giving some details about his Project LiveWire, Harley-Davidson took advantage of CES 2019 in Las Vegas to unveil the technical features of his first electric motorcycle. More concretely, we have figures of power, autonomy … but also of its price.
The first electric Harley will be available in the United States and Europe (including France). You can already prepare your savings … because the price of the LimeWire bike will start at $ 30,000. As a reminder, it will be available from August 2019.
Autonomy and top speed
The Harley-Davidson LiveWire will be able to reach 100 km / h in just 3 seconds and its battery will have a range of about 175 kilometers. To charge it, you can use a level 1 charger and get a full charge in one night via a traditional plug (at a speed of 20 kilometers of autonomy per hour of charge). For fast charging, you will need a level 3 DCFC point, with 80% charge in 40 minutes.
As a good electric motorcycle, the technological equipment should also be at the forefront of technology. It incorporates a touch screen (at the dial) with real-time information on the status of the bike, as well as alerts, traffic conditions, weather … Finally a very interesting service will be offered by Panasonic. It will allow you to connect remotely to your motorcycle to check the battery charge status, its location on the card and security alerts about its battery. You will know if the bike was hit, moved and even touched.
