The Huawei P10 is starting to receive its update to Android 9 Pie. This obviously includes the Chinese manufacturer's EMUI 9.0 interface with some additional new features.
Four months after the launch of Android 9 Pie, many manufacturers are taking the plunge and are starting to update their smartphones and tablets at the end of 2018. Samsung, Nokia or Xiaomi have for example updated some of their terminals recently.
Huawei and Honor are not left either since Emotion UI 9.0 should arrive on 7 smartphones very soon. What the brand did not say, however, is that an eighth smartphone was also in the mix. Indeed, some users of Huawei P10 have received the new update on their phone as evidenced by the screenshots published by GSMArena.
This 3.38 GB update brings firmware version 184.108.40.206 to the VTR-L29 (Huawei P10 dual SIM). This includes, among other things, a new interface, a digital wellness control panel, as well as greater speed of opening for "the most popular applications on the market".
For the moment, this update has been reported in Malaysia, but it should logically be deployed to the rest of the world in the coming weeks. It is not clear on the other hand if the Huawei P10 + is also concerned. We imagine that this expanded version should also taste in the near future given the many technical characteristics shared between the two smartphones.
