In town or in the mountains, Peugeot's new electric bikes will take you anywhere

Already well established in the segment of electric bikes, Peugeot has intensified its efforts by lifting the veil on a series of eight two-wheeled electrified both adapted to the road and the mountain.

At Peugeot, electric remains at the heart of its strategy in the short, medium and long term. That's why the lion brand does not hesitate to invest in this future segment that is supposed to replace today's thermal cars. With the Peugeot e208, the French group has hit hard at the Geneva Motor Show 2019. And to continue in this positive dynamic, the tricolor company has also focused its efforts on its offer of electric bikes.
Bosch to the rescue
The latter has also taken a different dimension compared to the press release issued by one of the jewels of the country: eight new bikes equipped with an electric motor join its catalog of products. All, without exception, have built-in 500W Bosch battery in the frame, just like a Bosch Active Line Plus engine. A partnership that recalls the one with Trek Bikes for his Domane +.
Of the eight models, six of them belong to the eT01 series, considered as high-end. Below, a presentation of their characteristics in list form:
Peugeot eT01 FS Touring PowerTube: track and road, front and rear suspensions, headlights, mudguards, luggage, 3999 euros, available in metallic gray.
Peugeot eT01 FS Sport PowerTube: sports version, lighter than the Touring, reserved for off-road journeys, 3699 euros, available in dark brown.
Peugeot eT01 Belt PowerTube and eT01 Belt Mixed PowerTube: traditional frame for the first, mixed frame for the second, silent, belt transmission, Michelin tires puncture-resistant, shift by dimmer, 2699 euros, available in black glossy metallized.
Peugeot eT01 D10 PowerTube and eT01 D10 Mixed PowerTube: traditional frame for the first, mixed frame for the second, both dedicated to the road or off-road, Bosch ActiveLine engine, Shimano chain transmission 11-speed, 3199 euros, available in brown for one, titanium gray for the other.

Then comes the eR02 series, more for extra-urban and mountain use. The first is also equipped with an integrated computer capable of recording all of the user's performance.
