LG is expected to introduce its new high-end smartphone at the MWC 2018. A controversial leak reveals the supposed design of the device.
The LG G8 ThinQ is probably less expected than the Samsung Galaxy S10, or the foldable smartphone and 5G Huawei, but it does not prevent the release of a new flagship is always a source of enthusiasm.
After the leak of the prototypes of the iPhone XI, OnLeaks was able to get the plans of a smartphone LG under the code name Alpha. It should be the LG G8 ThinQ.
The top speaker disappears
These images show a rather classic LG smartphone, with the notch screen that we know from the LG G7 and a back with a dual photo sensor and a fingerprint reader.
As Android Police points out, you can not see a speaker above the screen, which would normally be used for phone calls. The phone would be able to vibrate to emit sound and replace the speaker. Xiaomi had already tried to use this kind of technology with Mi Mix, but the results were not very convincing.
A controversial leak
On Twitter, Ken Hong, the communications manager for LG, has explicitly described Onleaks images as pure speculation. He goes further by denying the reality of images.
Correct, not real.

Onleaks relies on its history to build credibility. He recalls that these images were correct for LG G4, LG G6, LG V30 and Nexus 5X manufactured by LG.
Well … What about a little look at LG's "speculations"? … https://t.co/N2mIxKXVIm + https://t.co/z5Tb0Y2MWY + https://t.co/1mKy8GVHYM + https : //t.co/uSEWZJ4sf0 + https://t.co/A0drjktPTa + https://t.co/rVdDyMjZfn + https://t.co/kIrdHMVSvE
