A leak reveals the design of a new Motorola smartphone and some features. This smartphone should be able to cope with very fierce competition on the midrange.
Motorola does not leave anything on the smartphone market. The brand seems determined to be at the forefront of foldable smartphones, the 5G, without abandoning the mid-range so far. After a rather successful Motorola Moto G7 Plus, here is a leak about a new device a little better equipped.
OnLeaks has been able to get their hands on the phone's design and some features, but has no information about its name. It could be the Motorola Moto G8, or more likely Motorola P40 Power, a declination better equipped with the P40 which we already had echoes.
Triple Camera and Snapdragon 675
According to this source, this new Motorola incorporates a 6.2-inch screen with fairly thin edges with hole for the camera on the front, and a chin also quite thin. At the back, the smartphone would offer three cameras with 12-megapixel sensors.
The Motorola logo on the back is hiding a fingerprint reader, and there's also a USB Type-C port under the phone, and a 3.5mm jack on top.
This smartphone is a slightly more upscale version of the Motorola One Vision which is also the subject of rumors that should integrate a Snapdragon 675 with 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage. We can expect to see this new Motorola smartphone use the same chip, or a more powerful like the Snapdragon 710, with at least as much memory and storage.
It remains to determine what will be the selling price of the smartphone, it is this element that will know how Motorola can offer a competitive device with the rest of the market. It must be said that the latter has become a little more complex, since we find a Xiaomi Mi 9 with Snapdragon 855 under 500 euros.
