While the next smartphone OnePlus is expected to be presented in the next few months, the Chinese brand has certified a device on Monday with the Bluetooth SIG, the body in charge of the wireless standard.
Traditionally, it's in the middle of spring that OnePlus unveils the first of its two annual smartphones. Last year, the OnePlus 6 was unveiled on May 16th in London. Logically, the brand should resume the same calendar this year for its OnePlus 7.
This is in any case what suggests a certification filed by OnePlus with the Bluetooth SIG on Monday. Carrying the number D043421, it was spotted by the site Slashleaks and concerns a smartphone from OnePlus known under the model number GM1915. We just learn that the Bluetooth built into the device will be version 5.0.
An officialization that could happen very soon
Nevertheless, the certification of a "final product" suggests a very forthcoming release of the future OnePlus smartphone. It could also be the OnePlus 7, which should take a design without border or notch, but with a retractable camera, or smartphone 5G, also expected this year.
As a reminder, the OnePlus 7 should offer a large screen of 6.5 inches, a chip Snapdragon 855, three cameras on the back, 8 to 12 GB of RAM, 128 to 256 GB of storage and a 4000 mAh battery. For now, we do not know when the smartphone will be officially presented. Nevertheless, the fact that the device is already certified suggests a near formalization.
