The best cheap nebulizers
From 37 to about 45 euros, here are three nebulizers that will delight small budgets.
Pipishell: the best cheap
Transport kit included
Miniature, portable and silent
None identified yet
At a price slightly higher than the Omnibus nebulizer (about 40 euros), Pipishell offers here a perfect device for mopers.
This nebulizer is indeed ultra compact (40 (W) × 40 (D) × 100 (H) mm) and very light (95g) and thus easily fits in a purse or other. With its small storage box, and its long-lasting rechargeable battery it accompanies you everywhere, ideal for your daily trips, without risk of overturning.
Count only 1h30 of charge via USB for about 10-15 uses of 10 minutes.
This nebulizer is also particularly quiet (noise below 30 dB), which allows you to use it in a public place if needed without much notice and will not scare babies during their care.
With its advanced micro-mesh technology, the size of the atomized particles is 1 to 5 μm, so that the drug particles penetrate easily into your lungs and bronchi so you can treat respiratory diseases quickly. This device is therefore much more effective than taking medication or injections.
Comes with a nozzle, 2 masks (1 adult and 1 mask for child) and a removable cup for easy cleaning and disinfection, everything is ready for your care. With its complete waterproofness, there is no risk of damaging it by cleaning it. You can do your inhalations anywhere, even in the bathtub if you want.
Although it seems quite robust, I think it is rather suitable for occasional use or in addition to a compressor nebulizer. Not really certain that it will be the long-term road for daily use in the case of chronic diseases that require daily treatments.
Perhaps this impression is due to its small size and very compact design that seem less robust than a larger nebulizer. To see so.
His look is very go-anywhere and quite nice (for a nebulizer). A pocket nebulizer at a very small price but that has everything a big. It seems to be the best value for money of this selection and definitely my favorite.
Omnibus BR-CN116B: the cheapest
Transport kit included
Reasonable sound level
The first nebulizer of this selection is, at just 37 euros, a really very modest investment.
This omnibus BR-CN116 piston inhaler is, despite its low price, a high quality device, ideal for the treatment of chronic respiratory diseases (such as asthma) or temporary (like a cold), in children, adolescents and the adults.
This device has an efficient nebulizer thanks to its powerful electric piston compressor (230V 50Hz / 60W and an operating pressure of 0.62 Bar at 1.10 Bar (62 kPa to 110 kPa)) and efficient which ensures a long and safe use. It offers an effective aerosol therapy with ease with 3 micron particles easily absorbed by your lungs and bronchi.
Its 6ml capacity drug reservoir and nebulization rate of 0.35ml / min are ideal for conventional care, without having to fill the reservoir en route or spend too much time doing the care.
Small enough and lightweight for a nebulizer (150x140x90 mm, 1.2 kg), it is also easy to carry in its small carrying bag, which can be done anywhere.
Attention, it is still a certain size and can not be carried in a pocket or purse. It will still provide a small backpack or other.
It can easily be used by the youngest children with the mask specially adapted for them. Adults, they will have a mask a little bigger.
This box includes 5 replacement air filters for always hygienic use.
Noise level during use, the sound volume remains reasonable with only 50 dB.
This model is not only available in blue, but also in green, pink, orange or white; something to delight all tastes in this area. The look is still quite classic and not really design.
A powerful and practical device, perfect for small budgets.
A & D Medical UN-014: the basic
Transport kit included
Reasonable sound level
Very similar level look at the first nebulizer of this selection (that of Omnibus), this device of just 45 euros is a classic nebulizer compressed air and basic look, much less attractive than the previous nebulizer from Pipishell.
Far from being a pocket nebulizer like the previous one, it is nonetheless rather compact (15 x 14 x 9 cm) and can easily accompany you on a journey thanks to its carrying case and its weight which remains reasonable (1 , 2 kilos).
The noise delivered is approximately 55 dB, similar to that of the Omnibus at the beginning of the selection. A device quite quiet, but still much less than the previous pocket nebulizer. It still allows you to watch TV or other without disturbing the people around you.
Thanks to the two masks provided of different size, it is easily used by adults and children, for use by the whole family.
With its particles delivered with a size of only 3μm, this device is ideal for optimal treatment of asthma, allergies and other respiratory disorders.
A device that does not really stand out, but seems to do its job well.
In addition, the A & D brand is renowned in the world of medical devices, which clearly is an asset in its favor.
The best mid-range nebulizers
Here is a mid-range nebulizer that stood out.
Omron C28P: the best midrange
Reduced drug losses
For about 75 euros, significantly more expensive than previous nebulizers, this device is quite similar to the A & D nebulizer.
It is however much less silent (60dB), but delivers particles of identical size of 3μm, which will be easily absorbed by the lungs and bronchi, for an effective treatment. The nebulization rate of 0.5 ml / minute allows a fast enough treatment to free you time to do something a little more interesting.
With its powerful compressor and unique technology from Omron V.V.T (Virtual Valve Technology), this nebulizer reduces drug losses during expiration and maximizes drug availability during inhalation.
Thus, a greater amount of drug can be deposited in the lungs for even more effective treatment.
This unit is rugged and features a durable compressor for frequent use. Perfect for patients who need to take a medication several times a day.
However, it seems less compact than its predecessors, but still has a practical storage bag, which allows everything to collect and lose nothing.
An adult mask and a child mask are included, for use by the whole family.
Although less attractive than previous nebulizers and not very suitable for those who wander a lot, it remains a quality device and robust, ideal for the rapid treatment of chronic respiratory diseases that require frequent use.
The best high-end nebulizer
For much more generous budgets, only one nebulizer stands out.
Omron U100: the best high end
Transport kit included
Miniature, portable and silent
The brand Omron offers here its second model of the selection, at a price significantly higher than previous nebulizers, around 120 euros.
Just like the device from Pipishell, this pocket nebulizer is immediately noticeable because of its very compact size that fits in the hand and so easily gets carried away everywhere with you, whether in a pocket or a bag . Perfect for mop use, for which you can use the included storage pouch.
Using a unique sieve technology, the MicroAIR U100 releases more of the drug into the lungs than most compressor nebulizers.
It is also very comfortable to use and, thanks to its unique design, it allows inhalation in any position, even lying in a bed, thus facilitating its use, especially for young children. It is also provided with a mouthpiece but also an adult mask and a mask for children.
Unlike conventional nebulizer compressor technology, the MicroAIR U100 sieve technology is quiet, allowing for discreet use at any time. Ideal for use when traveling.
The ease of assembly allows quick relief, when you need it, wherever you are, especially since it runs on batteries (2 AA batteries included) and therefore does not require a power outlet. A visual indicator also tells you when the batteries need to be changed.
It is easy to clean in a bain-marie and disassembles / rises easily.
Level look is really basic, all white and not very attractive in my opinion, much less than its equivalent in Pipishell.
A little condensed technology that seems to hold the road. Not sure, however, that the price is fully justified, in the eyes of competitors, including the nebulizer from Pipishell, available for about three times cheaper.
The products of my selection on offer for the moment
A nebulizer (also called aerosol) is an electrical device that turns the solution containing the drugs into a mist of very fine droplets.
The latter, thanks to their small sizes, can reach bronchi and lungs easily and thus allow effective treatment of chronic or occasional respiratory diseases (colds ..).
Here is a little help to choose the nebulizer that suits you according to your needs, and talk to your doctor before any purchase!
Types of nebulizers
There are two main types of nebulizers: compressor aerosols and vibrating screen aerosols.
A compressor aerosol
It is usually quite large and should be used on a horizontal surface. It attaches the inhalation equipment (hose, mask, medicine container), it puts the drugs and plug the plug. As long as there is smoke, one breathes calmly through the mask or the mouthpiece.
As soon as he spits, we can stop.
Vibrating screen aerosol
It is based on the principle of the drug that passes through a membrane via tiny holes. Since it does not have a compressor, this kind of nebulizer is normally very compact (pocket) and runs on battery or battery, perfect for use in mop.
Just like the compressor nebulizer, you put the medicine in the small receptacle and breathe as long as there is smoke.
Depending on the use you make of it, some types are more suitable.
As already mentioned above, sieve nebulizers are generally much more compact and lightweight than compressor nebulizers, and can easily fit in the pocket or purse. They are thus much more suited to use when traveling.
In addition, they are generally much less noisy and can be used in public without disturbing people around.
The receptacle of these pocket nebulizers is generally hermetic and thus allows a preparation of products a little in advance.
Compressor sprays, on the other hand, are much larger and noisier, but they are also a little more robust and therefore more suitable for daily care for chronic problems. Their nebulization rate is also generally higher than that of portable screen nebulizers and thus allow for faster care, which is essential when one has to do care several times a day on a daily basis.
For long-term chronic disease treatment and for several treatments a day, the ideal is, in my opinion, to acquire a device of each type in order to combine efficiency and speed with convenience of use.
Most nebulizers on the market offer a possibility of use by both adults and children thanks to the two masks of different size provided. Be sure, however, that this is the case if you want your child to use it.
In this case, it is also recommended to turn to a sieve nebulizer, which makes a lot less noise than those with compressors and therefore may be less scary to your child.
Very easy to use, sieve nebulizers also have the advantage of being able to work in all inclination angles (such as inhalers), which is ideal for treating babies and children.
In general, prefer a mouthpiece as an adult or child over 6 years because there is 30 to 50% more pulmonary deposition!
Be sure to maintain your aerosol and the mask … rinse each time and wash every day to avoid a proliferation of bacteria. Rinse mouth (gargle) and skin around the mouth and nose (if using a mask) to avoid irritation.
