Xiaomi: Cheap Redmi smartphone with 48 megapixel photo sensor gets closer

The Chinese group Xiaomi has cracked a tease for the less explicit on its official website: a Redmi with a 48 megapixel photo sensor will be officially presented on January 10, 2019, confirming here the many rumors observed in recent weeks.

Rumors, then, were true. On December 6, 2018, the president of Xiaomi, in the person of Lin Bin, made our mouth water by publishing a photo of a smartphone supposedly equipped with a camera of 48 megapixels, a first, at the time, in the mobile phone market. Five days later, a report suggested that it was actually a Redmi, an entry-level mobile device of the Chinese brand.
See you on January 10, 2018
So many speculations today confirmed by the company itself, at the origin of a publication for the less explicit on its official website: an imposing Redmi logo, under which emerges an evocative shadow … 4800, likely corresponding to the famous 48 megapixel photo sensor. Not to mention a date, January 10, 2018, 14 hours local time.

You will probably have understood: Xiaomi is preparing to officially present a new smartphone Redmi with a 48-megapixel camera, which can also be found on the Huawei Nova 4 and Honor View 20. The firm of the Middle Kingdom, however, remains very discreet about the rest of the technical sheet, subject to some rumors in recent weeks. So one could expect an LCD made by BOE and a glass back.
An aggressive price expected
On the latter could come to nest three photo sensors, including that of 48 megapixels, but also a super-wide-angle lens. At the front, a hole in the screen, like the Samsung Galaxy A8s, Honor View 20 and Huawei Nova 4, could invite the party. Regarding the fee schedule, this Redmi tutoierait the 250 euros, a very affordable price with regard to the few characteristics assumed. If these are proven, Xiaomi would give a kick here in the anthill of the entry-level segment.
